Success! First paying customers of Remote Services.
A milestone has recently been passed as the first paying customers for Autocom Remote Services have been on-boarded. The new technical expert service support Remote Services was recently launched with a slow roll-out in Sweden and Norway only. As there are many parameters in the background process, we needed to launch it slowly and in a controlled environment with only a few workshop customers in our nearby markets.
No one remembers a coward
Launching a new product is always a big thing and it is important that you got it all right. But when having many new parameters at one and the same time, you could easily get in over your head. With Autocom Remote Services we have boldly launched a brand-new service, with a brand-new payment system, to customers that we have never sold directly to before, together with the third-party OPUS IVS that provide the actual service. But we believed in it and as we say in Sweden, "no one remembers a coward". So we went for it, and we passed the test.
Which markets will follow?
Thanks to the great teamwork with the early adaptors in the pilot workshops and OPUS IVS, we can shortly expand the offer of getting expert repair support to more markets. United Kingdom, Ireland and The Netherlands is up next and will be followed by other markets.
Welcome BYD!
The number of electric vehicles on our roads increase by the day. One electric vehicle brand that has made a meteoric rise in the European market is the Chinese manufacturer BYD.
In May 2020, BYD announced its intention to introduce passenger cars in Europe, starting in Norway. Since then, the company has expanded to several European countries, including Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France and Belgium. In November 2024, BYD was by far the biggest selling Chinese electric car brand in Europe with 4,796 sold cars.
It is important that workshops using Autocom diagnostic software know that our diagnostic tools meet up with the service demand of all kinds of vehicles on our roads. We have therefore recently added BYD to our diagnostic software CARS. You can today already find BYD Seal in the CARS software. Coming up in Release 2025.01 that is available in a few days, you will also find the models Seal U, ATTO 3 and Dolphin.

Some of our monthly diagnostic software updates are so big that we want to highlight them a bit more.
Release 2025.01, available this month, is one that needs to get a little more attention. Below you can see a very small selection of what this updates brings.
CARS highlights - a small selection
* Many new models on several brands (BMW, BYD, Fiat, Lancia, Mini Cooper, Nissan, Peugeot, Renault)
* Big service related update on Land Rover/Range Rover
* Updated Secure Gateway function for Audi, SEAT, Skoda and Volkswagen
TRUCKS highlights - a small selection
* Several new service reset functions, especially on vehicles from Volvo and Renault.
* EHS Electro hydraulic steering system for DAF models
* Calibration steering boggie for Scania trucks from 2017 and forward
These are just some of the thousands of updates that has been made in this release. It is available for all users with a valid diagnostic software license for CARS and/or TRUCKS.
